According to GameSpot, a lead developer of Playstation VR at Sony, Dave Ranyard, has left the team after nearly 17 years. He is leaving to start "his own independent career in the virtual reality market."
He was head of Sony's London Studio.
It seems like a tumultuous time in VR with people being bought up by big companies and others looking to rake in on the possibilities that VR will present in the future. Time will tell if it is a technology fad or something that will redefine computing and gaming for the future.
Much luck to Dave.
